WR Cris Carter: He really hasn't dominated the Packers the last couple of years like you would think. Carter is only averaging 57 yards and has just 1 TD in their last 2 matchups. However, this one looks to be an air raid game with plenty of chances for Carter.
QB Randall Cunningham: Cunningham is coming off an outing against the Raiders where he passed for 364 yards. The Green Bay secondary has improved but the Vikings receivers are just too good. Look for Cunningham to post strong numbers this week.
RB Leroy Hoard: This looks like a big passing game, so we don't expect too much out of Hoard this week. However, he is always a nice pick for a goal line chance.
WR Randy Moss: He pretty much did what he wanted last year to the Packers. This year coverages are being focused on him and his deep routes are generally seeing double coverage with the safety. Packers GM Ron Wolf's entire draft was focused on stopping Moss, and they will be geared up at home in this one. Don't be surprised if the Packers control him a little better this week.
WR Jake Reed: With all the focus on Moss and Carter so far this season Reed has benefitted. Look for another solid outing as the DB's soften on Reed in this one.
RB Robert Smith: He has been terrible so far and doesn't have a great track record against the Pack. Playing on grass doesn't help a speed runner, either. The Packers are weak up front so expect a better outing from him this week but he is a borderline play at best.

Minnesota Vikings Defense: This defense isn't what it once was and the Vikings secondary is extremely thin. The Vikings rank at the bottom of the league in most categories defensively. Look for Favre to chew them up through the air in this one.

WR Corey Bradford: He is starting to come along in the Packers offense and is worth considering if you are needy at WR this week.
TE Mark Chmura: He won't go this week as he is out with a neck injury. TE Tyrone Davis should see plenty of action.
TE Tyrone Davis: He will start this week with Chmura out. He has a great track record against the Vikings, scoring 3 TD's in the last 2 games he has played but that was when Chumra was in the lineup as the #1 and Davis got to roam free as the #2 TE. The Vikings have strong LB's which could neutralize Davis. A borderline play at best.
QB Brett Favre: The Vikings haven't had a great pass rush this season and their inability to stop the run has hurt them as well. Look for Favre to have time in this one and post strong numbers against a Vikings secondary that is among the leagues worst.
WR Antonio Freeman: Freeman hasn't scored a TD the last 3 times he has played the Vikings. Thats a trend worth considering this week but Freeman is still to tough to take out of your lineup.
RB Dorsey Levens: He had a monster week 2 dominating the Lions on the ground rushing for 153 yards. The Vikings are struggling against the run so look for another solid combined yardage effort this week.
K Ryan Longwell: This looks to be a high scoring affair and in their past matchups the Packers have gotten him plenty of work as he is averaging 10 Pts the last 2 times they have faced. Look for Longwell to have plenty of chances again this week.
WR Bill Schroeder: He looks like he will have a monster year in '99. Don't expect Vikings second year man CB Ramos McDonald to be able to hang with him.

Green Bay Packers Defense: It looks like a high scoring affair and the Green Bay D has shown some weakness against the run so the Vikings should be able to mix it up in this one. Last week against the Raiders the Vikings were basically shut down the whole game but Cunningham still had over 300 yards passing. The Packers secondary is getting better but the Vikings just have too many weapons.
