Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones, who has publicly questioned whether Marion Barber would be better returning to a reserve role, indicated Tuesday that he sees no reason for the running back’s role to change.

Giants TE Kevin Boss says the surgery he underwent on his ankle was successful on Monday. “Just waking from ankle surgery … Doc said things went really well!” Boss said on his Twitter page. “Think Im gonna stop on way home and get a workout in!” Fantasy wise he is a best of the rest pick at TE, 40 grabs and 4-5 TD’s is about all you should expect. The Giants have tons of young talent at WR and they are getting most of the balls.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune agrees that Brett Favre’s actions since the end of last season, “have made it clear he has every intention of playing a 20th NFL season.” Favre’s Friday morning surgery was designed to create a better range of motion in his ankle. He’ll soon begin a running program with a goal of being ready “either at the beginning of camp or shortly thereafter.” Bottom line the old guy is coming back once again, which is good news for Vikings fans, but can he continue at the magical level he played last year. Only time will tell, but the Packers are gaining quickly in the division.
