Montario Hardesty (RB) Cle - Roster Report
From the Beacon Journal, The Browns are crossing their fingers, hoping Hardesty can stay healthy and produce. After all, they traded a third-round and two fifth-round selections to move up in this year's draft so they could select him in the second round (59th overall). Hardesty sustained a bone bruise to his right knee when he twisted it during a one-on-one tackling drill on the final day of rookie training camp, just before the whole team reported to Berea and began practicing July 31. During Hardesty's days at the University of Tennessee, injuries took a toll on him. The most serious setback he endured was a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee, the same one he recently hurt. 'I'm really not even worried about the knee or anything like that,' said Hardesty, who returned to practice last week after being sidelined for most of August. 'I've been running around, and I've had a little contact here and there.'

Vincent Jackson (WR) SD - Roster Report
From ESPN, The Minnesota Vikings made the list of speculative trade possibilities for San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Jackson. However, it is just speculation at this point, as the apparent deadline for a V-Jax trade approaches. (If he's not traded and signed by his new team by Saturday afternoon, a roster exempt status kicks in, making him ineligible for the first six games).

Michael Crabtree (WR) SF - Camp Report
SI's Jim Trotter reports that 49ers players have been put off by Michael Crabtree's "ambivalence" toward preseason and camp. Trotter calls Wednesday's dust-up between Crabtree and Vernon Davis "legit." According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, the rest of the roster was pleased that Davis called Crabtree out. Said coach Mike Singletary after the incident, "(Vernon Davis) is one of the captains. He did the right thing, but he did it the wrong way. ... But I appreciate what he was trying to do."
